Six and Four Meters

The equipment on 4 and 6 is very similar, The IF is on 28Mhz from a homemade transceiver based on the plessey IC,s. Two "Meon" tranverters are used to generate rf in the desired  band. A 40 watt output is obtained from a modified Pye pmr amplifier on 70Mhz. The 50Mhz pa produces around 20 watts. Three element Yagis are used for both bands.
